*Note that Piquant Agency does NOT accept poetry submissions from unpublished poets * Please NEVER include any original art work with your proposal * Please always use RTF or Microsoft WORD format for electronic submissions.
The Piquant Agency does not charge a fee for representing authors unless a publishing contract is agreed.
When submitting your manuscript, first tell us about its content: * a 250-word summary of your proposed title * a proposed table of contents with one or two sentences describing how you develop your material * 2 sample chapters - a full manuscript will be requested at a later stage
Next, tell us about your perceived market: * Who is going to read it? * In which book category (or categories) will your manuscript fit best? * For which academic studies will it be a good resource or further reading material? * Name the closest existing publication(s) (by any author) to your manuscript & indicate how your proposal differs from it. * What can you do to help market your manuscript?
Finally, tell us about yourself: * your CV, particularly mentionting training & experience that has a bearing on the topic you are writing on * a list of previous publications (We are happy to hear from first-time authors too!) * any peer reviews & the names of possible endorsers
